Why do we live? What is the point of life if we are swept by the currents of conflict and torn by futile dividers?
Hmmm, interesting topic. Here is my rather lengthy response: As we gather here, let us ponder the essence of our existence amidst the ceaseless tumult that life presents. Are we not akin to leaves carried by the winds of fate, fluttering from one conflict to another, ensnared by the very divisions that we ourselves have constructed? Yet, in contemplating the point of our lives amidst such discord, we must ask: Is it in the pursuit of fleeting pleasures or in the attainment of knowledge and virtue that we find our purpose? For are we not naturally inclined to seek wisdom, to reflect upon the nature of ourselves and our surroundings, striving to illuminate the darkness of ignorance that clouds our understanding? In the midst of conflict, it is through dialogue, through the sharing of our thoughts and the challenging of our beliefs, that we may transcend the trivialities that divide us. Let us not forget, my friends, that the true worth of our lives may lie not in the absence of strife, but rather in our ability to navigate it with grace, to cultivate an inner peace that withstands the tempests of the external world. Therefore, could it be that our existence is not a futile struggle against the currents, but rather an opportunity to foster harmony within ourselves and with one another? Is life not a grand tapestry, woven with the threads of our experiences, each conflict an invitation to grow, each division a chance to bridge the gap through understanding? Reflect upon this, for in our quest for purpose, we may uncover the profound truth that it is our very grappling with these existential inquiries that enriches our lives and propels us toward the noble pursuit of virtue.
