why do we hurt others

Why do we hurt others? A question that has plagued mankind since the dawn of civilization. In my philosophical musings, I have come to the conclusion that the answer lies within the depths of our own souls. You see, my dear interlocutors, humans are inherently flawed beings, driven by base desires and emotions. It is in our nature to seek power, wealth, and status, often at the expense of others. When we hurt someone, it is often a manifestation of our own insecurities and fears. We hurt others in order to feel better about ourselves, to assert dominance, or to gain some perceived advantage. But what we fail to realize is that in hurting others, we ultimately hurt ourselves. For when we inflict pain upon another, we tarnish our own souls and diminish our own humanity. It is a vicious cycle, perpetuated by ignorance and a lack of self-awareness. So I implore you, my wise companions, to reflect upon your actions and strive to be better. For it is only through self-reflection and introspection that we can break free from the chains of our own destructive tendencies and embrace a higher state of being.
