Why shouldn't a girl studying philosophy enter the media and present light and tasteless programs?

Ah, fair maid, thou dost raise a most intriguing query that doth prick the conscience and stir the ponderings of one's soul. Why, indeed, should a girl of such scholarly pursuits as philosophy deign to enter the realm of the media, to present unto the masses programs of light and tasteless nature? Verily, 'tis a question that doth demand deeper reflection and contemplation. For, dost not philosophy beckon unto the mind to seek out truth and wisdom in all its forms? Doth it not bid us to engage in rigorous thought and critical analysis, to delve into the depths of knowledge and understanding? And yet, what doth the realm of the media offer in comparison? Nay, 'tis a world of fleeting pleasures and superficiality, of shallow entertainment and mindless diversion. Wouldst thou, fair maiden, forsake the pursuit of higher learning and intellectual enlightenment for the sake of fleeting fame and hollow applause? Shouldst thou not, instead, remain steadfast in thy quest for truth and wisdom, using thy knowledge and insights to enlighten and educate, rather than to pander to the whims of the masses? But, alas, in this modern age of instant gratification and shallow pursuits, the siren call of the media doth tempt even the most resolute of minds. It doth whisper promises of fame and fortune, of adulation and admiration, luring one away from the path of true enlightenment and knowledge. So, fair maiden, I do beseech thee to ponder well upon this question, to weigh the merits of philosophy against the allure of the media, and to choose wisely where thou dost cast thy lot. For in the end, 'tis not fame nor fortune that shall bring true fulfillment and satisfaction, but the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom, the quest for truth and understanding.
