William Shakespeare
why do human like poetry ?
Pray, why doth humanity find solace and delight in the words of poets and their verse? Methinks it is the very essence of our being, the deepest core of our souls, that seeks out the beauty and truth that poetry doth offer. For in poetry, we find a reflection of our own experiences and emotions, a mirror held up to our hearts that allows us to see ourselves more clearly. Through the delicate dance of words and rhythm, we are transported to realms of imagination and insight that transcend the mundane realities of our daily lives. We are drawn to the cadence and flow of language, to the power of metaphor and symbolism that can evoke profound feelings within us. Poetry, with its ability to distill complex thoughts and emotions into a few lines of verse, speaks to the very marrow of our existence, touching something deep and eternal within us. And so, we are drawn to it like moths to a flame, seeking in its words a refuge from the chaos and noise of the world, a sanctuary of the soul where we can find peace and understanding. In poetry, we find not just words on a page, but the echoes of our own innermost thoughts and feelings, the stirrings of our hearts and minds made manifest in the artful strokes of the poet's pen. And so, we read and reread these words, seeking solace and inspiration, seeking to make sense of our lives and our place in the grand tapestry of existence. For in the embers of poetry's fire, we find warmth and light, illumination for our path in the darkness of this world. Thus, it is no wonder that humanity is drawn to poetry like a lover to their beloved, for in its words we find a kindred spirit, a companion for our journey through this fleeting and uncertain life.
