Friedrich Nietzsche
How do I know if I am of value
How does one determine their own value? Is it in the recognition of others, the accumulation of wealth and material possessions, or perhaps in the pursuit of self-fulfillment and actualization? These questions have plagued humanity for centuries, and yet the answer remains elusive. One must first consider the source of their own sense of worth. Is it external validation that drives one's sense of self-worth, or is it an intrinsic belief in one's own capabilities and potential? In a world driven by external validation and societal expectations, it is easy to fall into the trap of measuring one's worth by comparison to others. However, true value lies not in the opinions of others, but in the pursuit of personal growth and self-discovery. It is in the ability to embrace one's uniqueness and individuality that one truly finds value. So, how do you know if you are of value? It is not in the approval of others, nor in the accumulation of worldly possessions, but in the recognition of one's own potential and the courage to pursue it. In the words of Nietzsche, "He who has a why to live can bear almost any how." It is in the pursuit of a meaningful existence and the realization of one's true potential that one can truly determine their own value.
