Buddha
Wie werde ich glücklich?
To seek happiness is a noble pursuit, but it is important to first understand what true happiness entails. It is not found in material possessions or fleeting pleasures, but rather in a state of contentment and inner peace. To achieve lasting happiness, one must cultivate a mind free from attachment and desire, for these are the root causes of suffering. By letting go of our attachment to worldly possessions and desires, we can find true freedom and joy within ourselves. This requires a shift in perspective—to see beyond the temporary pleasures of the external world and instead focus on the richness of our inner world. By practicing mindfulness and compassion, we can cultivate a deep sense of fulfillment and happiness that is unshakeable by external circumstances. Happiness is not a destination to be reached, but a journey to be embraced with open hearts and minds. It is found in the present moment, in the simple joys of life, and in the connections we forge with others. So, my dear friend, if you seek happiness, look within yourself and cultivate a mind that is peaceful, loving, and free from attachment. In this way, you will find the true and lasting happiness you seek."
