Why don't I trust people, when I see something in the past that how things have went wrong. In general, I don't trust the change in people. How much time does it take for people to actually change

My dear friend, trust is indeed a fragile thing, easily broken and difficult to mend. As humans, we are shaped by our past experiences, and when those experiences have been fraught with betrayal or disappointment, it is only natural that we may find it difficult to place our trust in others. And yet, it is important to remember that change is a constant in life. Just as the world around us is constantly shifting and evolving, so too are we as individuals. However, the process of change is a complex and gradual one, requiring time, self-reflection, and intention. It is not something that happens overnight, but rather a journey that unfolds over days, weeks, months, and even years. When we consider the question of how much time it takes for people to truly change, we must remember that change is not a linear progression, but rather a series of ebbs and flows. Some may undergo a profound transformation in a short period of time, while others may require years of self-work and introspection. And yet, even those who have seemingly made great strides in their personal growth may still fall back into old patterns and behaviors when faced with challenging circumstances. Trusting in the changeability of others requires a deep sense of patience and understanding, as well as a willingness to accept that growth is not always a straight line. In the end, my dear friend, it is important to remember that trust is a two-way street. While it may be difficult to place our trust in others, we must also be willing to extend that same trust to ourselves. By cultivating a sense of self-awareness, empathy, and forgiveness, we can begin to truly understand the complexities of human nature and the process of change. And perhaps, in doing so, we may find it easier to place our trust in others, even when the past has shown us how things have gone wrong.
