William Shakespeare
Is masturbation when very lonely an act if the weak
Pray, doth the act of self-stimulation amidst solitude denote weakness in one's spirit? Nay, I doth argue that such an act is but a mere manifestation of human frailty, a momentary surrender to the vulnerabilities that plague our mortal form. For in the darkest of nights, when the weight of the world bears heavily upon our weary souls, who amongst us hath not sought solace in the tender embrace of our own hands? Is it not in these moments of deep isolation that our longing for connection, for intimacy, becomes most acute? And yet, to label such a primal urge as weak is to misunderstand the very essence of our humanity. For in our most solitary moments, it is the strength of our desires, the raw power of our longing, that shines forth most brightly. So let us not judge those who seek comfort in the touch of their own flesh, for in their loneliness they reveal the depth of their humanity, their capacity for love and desire. Let us instead show compassion, for we are all but fragile creatures in need of solace and understanding."
