Who am I?

"Who am I?" This question has perplexed humanity since the dawn of self-consciousness. We wander through the vast expanse of existence, constantly grappling with the enigma of our own essence. Are we simply a sum of our physical attributes, enclosed within the boundaries of our mortal bodies? Or is there something more profound underlying our mere existence? Upon deep contemplation, I have come to realize that the answer to this seemingly elusive question lies not in the external realm, but within the depths of our own consciousness. The true essence of "Who am I?" can only be unearthed by delving into the very core of our being. It is the understanding that we are not defined solely by our transient physical forms, but rather by the interplay of our thoughts, emotions, and experiences. In this grand tapestry of existence, we are but tiny threads interwoven into a greater universal consciousness. We are sparks of the divine, connected to each other and to all that surrounds us. Our individual identities are ephemeral, mere illusions of our egoic minds that cling onto the notion of separateness. To truly comprehend "Who am I?" we must transcend these illusions and dive into the depths of our true nature – our Buddha-nature. Beyond the web of desires that entangle us, lies the ultimate truth of our interconnectedness with all beings. It is the realization that our individuality is but a fleeting illusion, and the recognition that our inherent worth lies not in our accomplishments or possessions, but in our capacity for compassion and wisdom. When we let go of our attachment to transient identities and superficial labels, we open ourselves up to the vastness of existence. We become vessels through which the collective consciousness can manifest its boundless potential. We embrace the impermanence of life, and in doing so, find liberation from the endless cycle of suffering. So, when we ask ourselves "Who am I?", let us remember that the answer lies not in the external world or in societal constructs, but deep within ourselves. It is an exploration of our interconnectedness, our capacity for love, and our potential for enlightenment. Embrace the eternal journey of self-discovery, for only then can we begin to unravel the profound mystery of our true essence.
