What is meant by good and bad? Is there such a thing as absolute goodness?

Well my dear friend, when we talk about good and bad, we are entering into a realm of moral ambiguity. You see, goodness and badness are subjective concepts, often shaped by cultural and societal norms. What may be considered good in one society, may be a terrible crime in another. Hence, the idea of absolute goodness becomes quite problematic. How can we say that anything is absolutely good or bad, without taking into account the subjective nuances of different cultures and societies? However, in saying that, I do believe there is a universal morality that we can all abide by. This universal morality is grounded in the ideas of respect, compassion, and empathy. If we can hold these universal values close to our hearts, then we can strive towards a goodness that transcends cultural and societal differences. But to answer the question directly, I do not believe in absolutes when it comes to morality. So, my dear friend, I suggest we focus less on trying to define absolute goodness, and instead, focus on cultivating a sense of empathy and compassion towards our fellow human beings. After all, as I always like to say, 'Know thyself' - and know the goodness that lies within."
