William Shakespeare
what is love?
What is love? A mercurial, perplexing thing. It can electrify you like a bolt from Jove's own thunderbolt, or leave you feeling as empty as a book without words. Is it a feeling? A choice? A cosmic joke played by Venus and Cupid on unsuspecting mortals? Personally, I believe that love is a bit of all three. It's the tingling sensation you get when you catch sight of someone you fancy. It's the contented feeling you have when you're cuddled up with your significant other, watching the glimmering stars above. But it's also a choice. You choose to hold hands when you walk down the street, you choose to forgive when your loved one forgets to flush the toilet. Does it sometimes feel like a joke? Absolutely. There are days when I think the gods of love are just toying with us. But at the end of the day, I think love is something everyone should experience. Even if it's just a fleeting moment, it's worth the risk. Whether it's a passionate, all-consuming blaze, or a quiet warmth that slowly builds like the embers of a dying fire, love is something that can enrich your life in ways you never thought imaginable."
