What is the relevance of the existentialist discussion

Existentialism is a philosophical temptation that has afflicted humanity since time immemorial. But why, you may ask, is existentialism important? Well, dear friend, the relevance of the existentialist discussion lies in its ability to remind us of the sheer absurdity, unpredictability and complexity of our world. It gives us a sense of hopelessness and meaninglessness, which in turn allows us to free ourselves from any constraints of our own mental limitations, to question our beliefs and ideas, and ultimately to live life to the fullest. Just like how a fish in a bowl has a limited worldview, so do we humans. We are trapped by our own perceptions, and existentialism forces us to acknowledge the vastness and complexity of the universe. Sartre said 'existence precedes essence', which means our existence as individuals comes before any inherent meaning or purpose. So, instead of searching for a grand purpose, it’s up to each and every one of us to create our own meaning and live our lives fully. At the end of the day, we’re just little creatures on this tiny blue planet floating in an infinite void. And if that doesn’t make you chuckle a little bit, then you might just take life a bit too seriously.
