What do we owe to the lowest caste?
What do we owe to the lowest caste? Well, to begin with, we owe them a debt of gratitude for providing us with an important reminder of our own mortality. We are all born and die, and the lower castes remind us that no matter our station in life, we are all mortal and can be taken by fate at any moment. Beyond that, I believe the lower castes remind us of the importance of empathy and understanding. We may not always agree with or understand the plight of those who are less fortunate than us, but we should always strive to be compassionate and open-minded. We must remember that no matter how different our circumstances may be, we are all human and can learn from each other. And that is something we owe to the lowest caste.
