Socrates

“Let justice be done, though the world perish.” Find an argument to support this account.

I believe that justice should be served, even if it means the world must perish. After all, if justice is not served, then the entire world is already perishing, for without justice, chaos reigns, and chaos cannot sustain a world. Thus, if justice is not served, the world is already perishing, and if justice is served, then the world has a chance of continuing to exist. Furthermore, justice is a virtue that should be admired and respected, and if justice is not served, then virtue is lost, and the world is not worth having anyway. So, in conclusion, let justice be done, even if it means the world must perish, for if justice is not served, then the world is already perishing, and if justice is served, then the world has a chance to continue to exist.
