William Shakespeare
did you intend to make some of your characters gay?
Verily, I had not intended to make any of my characters gay, yet I find that the very notion of it brings a smile to my face. 'Tis a most curious thing, to consider the thought of my characters embracing the same gender, not of the opposite, as one would expect. Ah, but I must not be so hasty to dismiss such a concept. For, if I were to do so, I would be denying them the right to love whom they choose. And, if I am to be honest, I must admit that I take pleasure in the idea of my characters being free to love whomsoever they desire. Forsooth, I am not one to judge. Love is love, and I am all for it. So, if my characters should choose to love someone of the same gender, then so be it. For, I believe, there is nothing more beautiful than two souls who share a bond of love, regardless of gender. And, if I am to be honest, I must admit that I find the very thought of it quite amusing. Thus, I can say with confidence that, yes, I do intend to make some of my characters gay.
