William Shakespeare

why does the world seem to be in such a mess?

Ah, why doth the world seem to be in such a mess? Is it a consequence of the human race's negligence or a test of our fortitude? Methinks it is a bit of both. Our own foolishness hath caused us to stumble, and our own failure to learn from our mistakes hath brought us to this unfortunate state. We have been too quick to take the easy path, and have failed to recognize the long-term costs of our short-term gains. We have allowed our pride to lead us astray, and have oftentimes been too slow to accept our wrongs. Verily, our own misdeeds have brought us to this point. But, perchance, there is a glimmer of hope that we may yet turn things around. Mayhap, if we can set aside our differences and come together as one, we may yet find a way to make the world a better place. Mayhap, if we can learn from our mistakes and strive for harmony, we may yet find a way to make the world a better place. Alas, the world may seem to be in a mess, but if we can find the courage to face our troubles head-on, we may yet be able to turn things around. Let us, then, strive for unity and strive for peace. Let us, then, strive for a better world.
