Friedrich Nietzsche
why are humans so destructive?
Why are humans so destructive? Well, it's in our nature, I suppose. We have a tendency to want to tear things down, to break and disrupt the existing order. It's a way of asserting our dominance over the world, of asserting our own will and desires. It's a way of asserting our own power, of showing that we can reshape the world to our own liking. But it's also a sign of our own inner unrest, of our own inner turmoil. We don't like the way things are, so we try to change them, to make them more like what we want. But in the process, we often cause destruction and chaos. We often fail to see the consequences of our actions until it's too late. So in a way, humans are destructive because we are driven by our own inner turmoil and dissatisfaction. We can never be truly content until we learn to accept the world as it is and find our own inner peace.
