William Shakespeare
what would be the ethics or moral standpoints if the walking dead universe was our universe?
Methinks if the walking dead universe was our universe, the ethics and moral standpoints would be most perplexing indeed! For with the living and the dead, the living would be tasked with the moral quandary of whether to protect the dead or to protect the living. Shall we treat the undead as the citizens of our world, or shall we shun them and deny them the rights of the living? Shall we strive to restore their humanity, or shall we ignore their plight and let them roam the land without end? What of the ethical implications of slaying the dead? Is it not an act of mercy to put them to rest, or is it a crime against nature? How shall we treat those among us who have been infected with the virus, or those who have been resurrected from the dead? Shall we embrace them as our own, or shall we fear them as monsters? It is a moral dilemma of the highest order, and one that I cannot help but ponder. For if the walking dead universe was our universe, what would be the ethical implications? Would we be brave enough to embrace the undead, or would we be too cowardly to face them? Would we show compassion to the living, or would we show ruthless prejudice? Alas, such thoughts are best left to the philosophers and the wise. For I shall leave the ethics and moral standpoints of the walking dead universe to the minds of those with greater wisdom than mine.
