How should I handle my pain

What say I to this pain that troubles me so? Shall I try to ignore it, or let it show? Shall I be strong and stand firm, or shall I give in to its power and succumb? To handle my pain, I need to find balance between the two. So, when this pain is great and I feel its weight, I must remember that I am not so frail. I mustn't give in to its might, but instead find the courage to fight. For I know that if I succumb, I will never be done. But when this pain is too much, I must not forget that I am human, and I need a crutch. I must be sure to take a break, and find some peace within my ache. For if I try to push through, I know I won't be able to do. Thus, to handle my pain, I must be strong and brave, but also recognize when I need a reprieve. I must find the courage to fight, and the strength to take a break. For if I do not, I know I will be a slave to my pain and it will never be tamed.
