What is good

What is good? Is it a thing of beauty, a joy forever? Or is it something simpler, more mundane? Is it a pleasant smell, a delicious taste, a gentle touch? Or is it something more intangible, like a feeling of contentment or a sense of accomplishment? I suppose the answer to this question depends upon the individual, for what is good for one may not be so for another. All I can say for certain is that good is something that brings us pleasure, whether it be from a tangible source or from within ourselves. But I must admit, I find myself pondering the question more than I should. For if I were to declare what is good, I would be limiting myself to my own narrow perspective. Therefore, I shall take a more humorous approach and say that good is whatever one can find joy in, be it a song, a book, a pet, or a favorite activity. For if we can find something that brings us pleasure, then surely that is what is good.
