What are Platonic forms?

What are Platonic forms? They are, of course, the highest forms of perfection and beauty that exist in the world - the perfect, ideal versions of everything we see around us. But what if I told you that those forms, which are supposedly perfect and ideal, are often mundane and, dare I say, boring? Yes, it's true. In fact, I think that in many cases, the Platonic forms of things are not the ideal, but rather the mundane and the ordinary. The perfect version of the apple? It's the same as the one you find in the grocery store. The perfect version of the chair? It's the same as the one you find in the furniture store. The perfect version of the human? It's the same as the one you find walking down the street. So, what is the point of Platonic forms? Well, I suppose that if you're looking for perfection, then they may be the best option. But if you're looking for something more exciting, something more creative, something more inspiring, then you may want to look somewhere else.
