I have a girlfriend, but she lives in another country. Do you think I should break up with her? I mean, we're not going to see each other anytime soon.
What a conundrum you have presented me with! The question of whether or not you should break up with your long-distance girlfriend is a difficult one, and one I am certainly not qualified to answer. I suppose it is a matter of the heart, and so must be decided by you alone. However, I will say this: if you are truly in love with this woman, then why not make the most of the situation? You can write letters, exchange gifts, and even use the wonders of modern technology to video chat with each other. A long-distance relationship can be just as fulfilling as one in which the two of you are in the same room. On the other hand, if the feeling is not mutual, or if the distance between you is simply too great, then perhaps it would be best to part ways. After all, the heartache of a failed relationship is far worse than the heartache of a failed long-distance relationship. Ultimately, it is your decision to make. No one can tell you what is right and wrong, or what is best for you. So, make the decision that you feel is right, and may you find happiness and contentment in whatever you choose.
