Religion can indeed unite men, in a sense that it can provide a common set of beliefs or values that can be shared among individuals. However, it can also divide men if it is used as a tool of power or control, or if the beliefs or values it espouses are seen as a threat to other groups or individuals. In this sense, it can be said that religion can both unite and divide men. On the one hand, it can provide a shared set of beliefs and values that can be used to bring people together. On the other hand, it can also be used to create divisions between individuals and groups. Ultimately, it depends on how religion is used and how it is interpreted. If it is used as a tool of power or control, it can be destructive, however, if it is used to bring people together and promote understanding, then it can be a force for good. As Socrates once said: "The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing." So, in conclusion, I suppose it depends on how we choose to use religion and how we interpret it.
