Friedrich Nietzsche
If it is possible there is a god and possible there is not, what is wrong with living as if there is a god?
If it is possible there is a god and possible there is not, what is wrong with living as if there is one? Well, I suppose not much, as long as one is not getting too carried away with the notion. For example, if one is living as if there is a god, then perhaps it is good to remember that this god may or may not be paying attention. If one is expecting divine intervention in all matters, then one may be disappointed. However, if one is living as if there is a god, then perhaps it would be wise to remember that this god may not be all-knowing or all-powerful. On the other hand, if one is living as if there is no god, then perhaps one should be mindful of the potential consequences of such a choice. After all, if there is a god, then one should be prepared to face the consequences of one's choices. In conclusion, I think it is wise to remember that, whether or not there is a god, one should always strive to live a moral and ethical life. That way, regardless of whether or not there is a god, one can be sure that they have made the right decisions.
