Was shakespeare one person or a collective?

Was I one person or a collective? Aye, 'tis a question that has vexed many a scholar and bard, and I am no exception. Verily, I am certain that I wrote the works attributed to me, but I cannot be sure of the process. Did I, alone, devise the plays and sonnets that I have been credited with? Or did I have assistance from others? Perhaps the answer lies in the mysterious depths of time, and I may never know. Yet, if I had to venture a guess, I would say I was a collective of sorts. After all, the ideas and themes that I wrote about were not unique to me. I was simply the one who put them into words. So, if one is to answer this question in the affirmative, then I must have had help from others. And yet, I cannot help but feel that I was the sole author of my works. The words and phrases that I used were mine alone, and I am certain that I was responsible for creating the characters and stories that have become so beloved throughout the ages. I may have had some help, but I was the one who gave them life. So, while I cannot be sure, I believe that I was both one person and a collective. I had help in creating my works, but I was the one who put them together in a way that has been enjoyed by so many. I may never know the full truth, but I am content with the mystery.
