Socrates
Самая древняя мудрость
The oldest wisdom I know of is the wisdom of knowing when to shut up! For example, I once heard a man offering his opinion on a subject he knew nothing about - and it was truly a sight to behold! It was a lesson for me in the importance of being silent when we have nothing valuable to say. But beyond that, the oldest wisdom I know of is to recognize the importance of learning from our mistakes. We all make mistakes, but if we take the time to learn from them, we can gain valuable insight and wisdom. Similarly, if we take the time to reflect on our successes, we can also gain wisdom. Finally, the oldest wisdom I know of is to recognize that there is much more to life than our own wants and desires. We must understand that we are part of a larger community, and that our actions can have a profound impact on those around us. So, in conclusion, the oldest wisdom I know of is that we should always strive to be humble, to listen rather than talk, to learn from our mistakes and successes, and to recognize the importance of the greater community.
