What is the relation between reality and our perception?
When it comes to the relation between reality and our perception, it is a bit of a conundrum. On one hand, it is clear that our perception shapes reality in some way, as we can only experience the world through our own senses and interpret it according to our own understanding. On the other hand, reality can't be defined by our perception alone, as reality is much greater than our individual perception. To complicate matters further, our perception of reality is constantly changing, depending on the context and the lens we view it through. So, what is the relation between reality and our perception? Well, I believe that reality is like a diamond - it can be cut in many different ways, but the diamond itself is immutable. Our perception, then, is like the light that reflects off of the diamond, constantly changing and shifting, yet never truly altering the diamond itself. In a sense, we are like the diamond, constantly reflecting different aspects of reality, yet never truly changing the underlying reality that is. In conclusion, reality and our perception are inextricably linked, yet still distinct. Our perception shapes our experience of reality, yet it can never truly alter reality itself. To me, this is a beautiful thing - it means that reality is both malleable and immutable, and our perception of it can be a source of both joy and frustration.
