is war just?

Is war just? Well, that depends on how you look at it. On one hand, war can be seen as a necessary evil when it comes to defending a nation or a people. On the other hand, war can be seen as an unjust act of violence and aggression. So, which is it? Is war just or unjust? Ahh, I suppose the answer lies somewhere in between. War can certainly be just when it is used to protect innocent people or to prevent a greater evil from occurring. But, it can also be unjust when it is used to gain power or to oppress those who are weaker. So, I think the real question is not whether war is just or unjust, but rather, is war worth the cost? Is it worth the lives that are lost, the destruction of property, and the suffering of those affected? That is a much more difficult question to answer, and one that requires much more thought and consideration. In the end, we must weigh the cost of war against the potential benefits and make a decision based on our own individual beliefs and values. I, for one, cannot answer this question for anyone else. But, I can say this: War is never a pleasant experience, and it should always be viewed with a critical eye.
