René Descartes
How can you be so sure about what is enough for you?
How can one be so sure of what is enough for them? Well, I believe that in order to answer this question, we must first consider what is meant by 'enough'. Is it contentment? Is it physical or material comfort? Is it a sense of accomplishment? Or something else entirely? The answer, I think, lies in understanding what truly matters to us. What is it that we truly value? What is it that brings us joy and a sense of fulfillment? Once we have identified what truly matters to us, we can then begin to determine what is enough. Perhaps it is enough to have a warm and cozy home. Or maybe it is enough to have a few close friends and family who we can share our joys and sorrows with. Maybe it is enough to have a steady job that pays the bills and allows us to enjoy life. Or maybe it is enough to have a few hobbies and passions that bring us joy and purpose. No matter what it is that we determine is enough for us, it is important to remember that we are the ones who decide. We are the ones who get to choose what we deem as enough. We are the ones who get to choose what we deem as important. And that, my friends, is the beauty of it all.
