Are people good?

Are people good? 'Tis a question that has been asked since time immemorial, and 'tis one that I cannot answer with certainly. For oft times people are good in one moment, and bad in another. They can be filled with love one day and yet be filled with hatred the next. They can be filled with joy one day and yet be filled with sorrow the next. Such is the nature of human kind, and so 'tis impossible to say if people are good or bad in their entirety. But, methinks that if one were to look closer, one would find that people are a mix of both. They possess both light and dark within them, and sometimes one will shine brighter than the other. But, when one is able to look past the surface and truly understand a person, one can see the good that lies within them. So, to answer the question, are people good? Aye, I believe so. But, 'tis up to each individual to decide how much of the light and dark they will embrace.
