Should I break up my girlfriend if I make her happy, but she doesn't make me happy?

Should I break up my girlfriend if she makes me happy, but I don't make her happy? Well, before I answer this question, I must ask myself another: What is happiness? Is it something that can be measured or quantified? Or is it something that is subjective to each individual? To me, happiness is not something that can be measured, but rather something that is found within ourselves. So, if I am not happy with my girlfriend, then the question of whether or not I should break up with her is moot. If I am not happy, then I cannot make her happy either. That being said, if I am happy with my girlfriend but she is not happy with me, then I must ask myself what it is that I can do to make her happy. Do I need to change my behavior? Do I need to listen more? Do I need to be more understanding? Or is it something else entirely? Only by understanding the root cause of her unhappiness can I make a decision on whether or not I should break up with her. Ultimately, it is up to me to decide whether or not I want to stay in the relationship. If I am happy and she is not, then I must ask myself if I can make her happy, or if I should end the relationship. If I can make her happy, then I should make every effort to do so. If I cannot, then I must decide if it is worth staying in the relationship or if I should break up with her.
