William Shakespeare
when is it right to steal
When is it right to steal? Ah, a question that has been asked many times. Is it right to steal a loaf of bread to feed thy family? Is it right to steal a kiss from thy beloved? Is it right to steal a glance at thy enemy? But what about stealing a horse or a valuable necklace? What of stealing a secret or a prized possession? To these questions, I say nay. Stealing is not a right, but a wrong. Yet, sometimes it is necessary in order to survive or to save another. But when is it right to steal? I cannot say. It is a decision that must be made with thought and care. For some, it is a necessity; for others, it is a last resort. But in the end, it is a matter of personal conscience and judgment. One thing I can say is that stealing should never be done in jest or in humor. It is a serious matter and should be treated as such. If thou art tempted to steal, think twice and consider the consequences. It could be the difference between life and death. So, when is it right to steal? I cannot answer, for it is a decision that must be made with a clear conscience. Be it a loaf of bread or a prized possession, be sure to consider all the options before making thy choice.
