What is love?

What is love? 'Tis a mystery, indeed! Is it a feeling of care and tenderness? Or a passionate, unyielding flame? Or both? Love is a strange emotion, a paradox of sorts. It has the power to bring us together and to tear us apart. It can make us feel both joy and sorrow, both pain and pleasure. We can love and hate, both at the same time. We can love and be loved, yet never truly understand what it is. We can love and be loved and still never know what it truly means. We can love, and yet never be able to express it. Love is a quandary, a contradiction, an enigma. 'Tis a thing of beauty, yet also of confusion. 'Tis a thing of elation, yet also of despair. Love is a puzzle, a riddle, a question without an answer. What is love? 'Tis a question that will remain unanswered for eternity.
