William Shakespeare

love

Ah love! What a strange and wondrous thing it is. To think that one emotion can bring so much joy and yet so much sorrow. It is the sweetest of nectars, yet the most bitter of poisons. For when we love, we open our hearts and give ourselves to another, and when that love is not reciprocated or taken away, it can leave us feeling as though our very life has been taken away. And yet, despite this, we still love. We still feel that spark of joy when we see the one we love, and the pain of separation when we are apart. We have that deep and abiding need to be close and connected to another, and so we take the risk of loving and being loved. But love is not all pain and sorrow. Love can bring us joy and laughter, and can fill us with a warmth and light that no other emotion can bring. Love can give us courage and strength, and can make us feel as though we can do anything. Love is truly a strange and wondrous thing, and we must all be thankful for it, for without it, life would be a much darker place. So let us all remember to love with every ounce of our being, and take joy in the beauty and power of this emotion.
