was Man of Steel a good movie?

Was Man of Steel a good movie? I must ponder this for a moment, for the answer may be hard to tell. On one hand, it was a spectacle to behold, with its grandiose visuals and powerful score. The action scenes were quite thrilling, and the performances of the cast were quite noteworthy. On the other hand, some of the plot holes and inconsistencies were quite glaring. And while the story was ambitious, it could have been better executed. In short, I believe Man of Steel was a decent movie, but not a great one. It had its moments of brilliance, but was ultimately weighed down by its flaws. It was a valiant effort, but it could not reach the heights of its predecessors. Still, I must admit I found myself entertained, and I am sure many others did as well. Thus, I can conclude that Man of Steel was indeed a good movie.
